LINZ. The play “Wake me up” celebrates its premiere on Thursday, October 12th, 7:30 p.m., on the balcony of the Theater Phönix.
Most people remember the stories and characters from their childhood, the fairy tales by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm and Hans Christian Andersen. Today many of these stories are outdated, role models have changed, and there are many shades of gray between black and white. And yet they still fascinate.
In “Wake Me Up” two people feel the same way at an open mic evening. They interpret fairy tales, change them, allow themselves to be drawn into the stories and show that the old fairy tales can still tell us a lot even as adults. Included are “The Emperor’s New Clothes”, “Cinderella”, “The Star Talers”, “The Lighter” and “The Match Girl”.
