But Mariana Royer is also gifted for biosourced research and industry. This is a good thing, in addition to the port rehabilitation works and the development of activities in western Guyana, it also intends to contribute its knowledge to future investments.

“There are innovation projects, in particular to install a technical center in the port itself, to also promote marine biomass, which was somewhat my field and my functions when I started. »

Her sensitivity to the environment also pushes her to want to promote sustainable development.

“We are talking regarding electrification, we are talking regarding vehicles that can be hybridized and that can use biofuels, electricity. We are in Guyana, a great showcase for the mix of renewable energy. There are plenty of things that we can try to slip here and there into the projects in order to be able to improve this environmental impact and make the port also become a showcase in terms of CSR impact. »

At the head of the Supervisory Board for the next 5 years, Mariana Royer intends to instill dynamism for a positive development of port activity.
