Revitalizing Air Belgium: Exploring Strategies Amidst External Challenges like Pandemic, Geopolitics, and Inflation

2023-09-18 12:51:37

The revision of the development strategy is explained by a weakening of the company due to external events such as the coronavirus pandemic, the war in Ukraine, the surge in fuel prices or even inflation, explains the company.

Air Belgium indicates that employees linked to passenger activity remain active during the procedure “and beyond”. Management wants to gradually reassign them to other activities.

For customers who have already purchased a ticket, flights scheduled before October 3 will be operated and return flights will be covered by Air Belgium, either directly or through other airlines. Those scheduled following this date and already paid for will be canceled and refunded.

Founded in 2016, the airline employs around 500 people.
