This Wednesday the Respiratory Care Unit and Teaching Areas “Dr. Adolfo Urrutia» of the General Hospital of the South “Dr. Pedro Iturbe”, thanks to the alliance of the Zulia State Government and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zulia, which jointly developed the recovery and modernization work of these spaces for the service of the people
María Moreno, Secretary of Health; José Luis Alcalá, Secretary of Government and Andreína Velasco, Secretary of Inter-institutional Relations of the Zulia State Government, representing the Regional Executive Manuel Rosales Guerrero, attended the physical delivery and reception of the work carried out in the medical area “Dr. Adolfo Urrutia”.
Secretary Moreno stressed that they will work in order to recover lost and abandoned spaces. “We work to give decent care to our patients and to those who come to the facilities, to request care for health problems, in addition to turning this Study Area into a decent space for our health professionals.”
María Moreno announced the early inauguration of the Emergency Hospital General del Sur. “The work does not stop and continues at all levels of care, hand in hand with the National, Regional, Municipal and University Government, because all of us, together, fight for the patient and his health. The Chiquinquira and Central Hospitals have already been recovered, as well as spaces in this very important Hospital”.
For his part, the Secretary of Government, José Luis Alcalá, expressed the commitment and effort that is made daily, so that patients have decent areas. “Thanks to the effort and commitment of the authorities, today this unit will provide a quality service to each and every one of its users. The joint work will continue as before, to offer well-being to all patients.
Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zulia, Dr. Sergio Osorio, thanked the Government and the Ministry of Health for the support offered “We have made an agreement, an aid pact, continuing with the joint work that is what has allowed us to advance in the health sector of the state of Zulia”.
Osorio highlighted that they have carried out assistance days. «In communion with the Ministry of Health, we held the conferences of the College of Physicians, in Santa Rosa de Agua, where more than 700 people were treated; the conferences at the Coromoto Church, at the Bar Association and, tomorrow, we will have a conference at the Faculty of Medicine, on the occasion of the Journalist’s Week”.
The works carried out in the Respiratory Care Unit and Teaching Areas of the General Hospital of the South, contemplated the recovery of walls, ceilings, sanitary rooms, air conditioning system, painting on the facades, doors and rooms, polishing of floors, mattresses, bunk beds, curtains. In the same way, the replacement of locks, lamps, sheets of ceiling, fittings and others.
