Their small cocaine and cannabis traffic, which they carried out from their accommodation on the left bank, lasted a few weeks, between September and December 2022. The police had got wind of it, monitored the surroundings and questioned, on December 8 2022, two people coming out of the apartment. These two people had drugs on them and immediately spilled the beans. The police then intervened at the couple’s home and the search was rather revealing since it had found 24.5 g of cocaine, 35 g of hashish, a sum of €21,368 but also a scooter, a trike (motorized cycle on three wheels), a bicycle and a scooter as well as a mobile phone and an alarm pistol.

If the two occupants of the premises immediately admitted that they were dealing, they always questioned the aggravating circumstance of association which they were accused of.

The court finally decided to sentence the young man, who has been illegally residing in Belgium since May 2022, to a 24-month prison sentence with a simple suspended sentence of 3 years for half the sentence. The 30-year-old hutoise, unknown to justice, has meanwhile benefited from a probationary suspension of 3 years: she must, among other things, refrain from associating with delinquents and must actively seek employment or undergo training.
