Revealed: Aryeh Zalmanovich is the abductee who stayed and was murdered alongside Farhan

86-year-old Aryeh Zalmanovich of Nir Oz, who was murdered in Hamas captivity, is the abductee who stayed with Farhan Kadi during part of their stay in captivity. Yesterday (Wednesday) it was reported that Kadi said after his rescue that he saw a dead abductee next to him in captivity. Aryeh Zalmanovich, one of the founders of Kibbutz Nir Oz, was the oldest abductee held by Hamas. He was the father of two sons and the grandfather of five grandchildren.

Farhan, we will recall, was rescued from a tunnel in the southern Gaza Strip in what the security establishment described as a “complex operation.” In the same conversation he also revealed for the first time that he was moved underground shortly after the murder. He said that he was first taken to an apartment and not to a tunnel, and there he saw one of his fellow captives dying, while the terrorists were filming it. Farhan said that “Immediately after that I was also photographed, and then I saw how he was murdered.”

About 40 days after his abduction, Hamas published a 28-second video in which Zalmanovich is seen lying on a bed, connected to a monitor and complaining that he is not feeling well, later a lion is seen motionless and wrapped in a white sheet.

The video of the kidnapping of Aryeh Zalmanovich

This month, a video and photo were published for the first time showing the abductee Zalmanovich during his abduction to Gaza from his home in Kibbutz Nir Oz. In the video, the 85-year-old is seen being led on a motorcycle with his kidnappers sitting in front and behind him, and around him are dozens of jubilant Gazans who try to approach the motorcycle and beat him.

Kibbutz Nir Oz reported: “About two weeks ago, a chilling video was released that documented the moments of the kidnapping of our friend Aryeh Zalmanovich, the late, from his home. Today, the testimony of Farhan Alkadi, who was rescued from captivity, was also revealed, who said that he saw Aryeh dying beside him, after not receiving his medication And the medical treatment they needed. A testimony that completed the painful picture for us, of the moments of hell that passed from the moment of his abduction, until the tragic end.

The kibbutz added: “We appeal, once again, to all the parties involved and especially to the Israeli government and its leader – every additional moment in captivity is a real danger to the lives of the abductees. There is no time for hesitation or procrastination. Everyone must return home now, before it is too late. Every moment counts, And any delay may cost additional lives.”

In a conversation with Israel Hayom, Zalmanovitz’s son, Boaz, said: “It was important for him (Farhan) to call and tell us that he was in contact with father. He said that father suffered there, and he was with him most of the time. Sometimes there were other people with father, and Farhan was somewhere else.”

He also added: “My father was murdered after 40 days, so it was at the very beginning. I understand that while they were together, they were probably alone, just the two of them. Sometimes Farhan was taken out for a few days. I didn’t understand until the end. The conversation was very preliminary, and I didn’t want to To disturb him in his joy. What is important is that my father will not return alive. Some people have been murdered in agony for 10 months, but they are on their way out of the darkness.”
