In this context, the National Airports Office announced, today, Thursday, the appointment of new directors for three airports in Morocco: Al Hoceima, Tetouan, and Laayoune.
The office stated, in a statement, that “the airports of the cities of Al Hoceima, Tetouan and Laayoune, which are three strategic airports for the National Airports Office and for Morocco, have seen the appointment of new directors at their head, in the context of Morocco’s airports’ preparations to face the major challenges expected by the year 2030.”
The same source reported that the Director General of the National Airports Office, Adel El Fakir, chaired, during the past few days, the handover ceremony of the new directors of the airports of Al Hoceima Cherif Al Idrissi, Tetouan Sania Rmel and Laayoune Hassan I. These airports are characterised by their increasing strategic importance due to the steady growth in air passenger traffic recorded there.
The office confirmed in the statement that Agadir 24 has seen that the new directors of these three airports and all the airports in the Kingdom are called upon to stimulate the dynamism of these airport platforms, so that they can engage in the dynamics of sustainable growth and fully play their role in the economic development of the regions in which they are located.
The mission of airport officials, the same source added, is to keep pace with the growth in passenger traffic, develop a new vision for the travel experience, and work in close coordination with the authorities to improve the quality of services provided.
The office pointed out the launch of the process of restructuring and developing the airport landscape in Morocco, through programming the implementation of major projects to enhance the accommodation capacity and improve the quality of airport services, with the aim of providing an airport network of modern and advanced infrastructure across the various regions of the Kingdom.
