Tesla CEO Elon Musk plans to visit China in early April and would like to meet with Chinese Premier Li Qiang there. This is reported Archyde.com citing two informed sources. According to the agency, the exact date of the trip depends on when there is free time to meet with Mr. Lee.
If Elon Musk’s visit to China takes place, it will be his first trip to the country since the start of the pandemic and since Chinese President Xi Jinping was re-elected for a third term. Musk last visited China in early 2020.
China is the second largest market following the US for Tesla, and one of the company’s factories has been operating here since 2019. Archyde.com’ request to comment on Elon Musk’s possible visit to China did not respond to the agency either at Tesla or at the PRC State Council.
