Reuters: An explosion was heard in the US state of Nebraska, and there were reports of deaths

Archyde.com news agency reported that there were deaths in Laurel, Nebraska, following reports of an explosion earlier.

It is reported that, an explosion occurred early this morning in a German police armory, where 50 tons of explosives were stored, which led to the outbreak of the fire, and so far the firefighters have not been able to start extinguishing the fire as there are still explosions and flying debris.

Regional and long-haul train services to the west were suspended, and the highway was closed in this area.

The Federal Office for Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance called for bypassing the affected area over a wide area, and many forces were deployed to extinguish the fire, but due to the continuous explosions, it was not possible to put out the fire until now.

“The fires continue to spread uncontrollably. This worries us greatly,” said fire department spokesman Thomas Kerstin.

“Fragments of debris were flying in the air, our emergency services were in danger of dying, so they had to withdraw, so, it can’t be put out at the moment because the risk to emergency services is too great,” Kersten said.
