How does it feel to be back at GZSZ?
Lara Dandelion Seibert: “It feels great and familiar to be back and I’m really looking forward to my time here. The family atmosphere that I enjoyed last year is unchanged.”
Did you expect that?
“Of course I was hoping for a comeback, even back then. My head didn’t expect me to return. But to be honest, I had a gut feeling… As we all know, you should listen to your gut feeling, and it turned out to be right.”
What has Zoe previously experienced in Berlin’s GZSZ neighborhood and why did she disappear back then?
“Zoe has been through a lot, starting with tracking down Laura Lehmann, who disappeared in a plane crash. When Laura suddenly reappeared, Zoe was exposed and ended up in prison. She escaped and was supposedly killed by a sniper. How she survived and why she returns will now be seen in the series.”
What was your first reaction when you found out that your character would be declared dead?
“I actually cried when I found out Zoe was going to die. It’s crazy how much the character has grown on me. Although I thought the decision for the role was right and exciting at the time, as an actress I was of course sad regarding having to leave the series.”
How did you perceive the fans’ reactions to Zoe’s supposed death?
“When Zoe supposedly died, I received a lot of messages from fans mourning her death. That made me very happy and surprised, since she was a clear antagonist. It was a great compliment and not a given, especially for a role like this.”
How did you prepare for your comeback now?
“You can’t really prepare for a comeback like that, except in a playful way, of course! I thought regarding personal things for Zoe, like a music playlist. I’ll let the rest come to me and hope that the viewers are as excited regarding their trip as I am!”
How was your first day of filming?
“It was nice to see everyone once more and I had some great scenes in the location shoot. At the same time I was a bit excited to be back, but that’s part of it.”
What was the most challenging thing regarding it?
“The secrecy! The biggest challenge was keeping my comeback a secret. Nothing was allowed to leak out, because with this story that would have been particularly unfortunate.”
