‘Return to Monkey Island’ released in Korean on September 19th… series ending line

After many years, Guybrush may finally be able to unlock the secrets of Monkey Island. The project ‘Return to Monkey Island’, which is being developed by the creators of ‘The Secret of Monkey Island’, will be officially released in Korean on September 19th. It is currently scheduled to be released on Steam and Nintendo Switch, and is currently taking pre-orders.

The game tells the story of Guybrush Thrupwood, the protagonist of the series, returning to Monkey Island. Monkey Island is quite different from the well-known past situation. Emerging pirates who seem to have no genealogy have taken over the island and reigned supreme. The story of Guy Brush and his girlfriend Elaine (?) as they get entangled in a tangled adventure is at the heart of the story. Characters from memories that appeared in the previous series will also appear in this series. In fact, it is a vending machine for memories, and a collection of Myeongjang-myeon is expected.

The humor and wit of the series are the same. In the video released through Gamescom’s opening night, the series regular cast member and genius marketer (?) Stan appears and sells medicine. The game is introduced with exaggerated lines, and at the end, it even delivers the news of pre-orders. If you listen carefully, they offer horse armor as a pre-order gift, but it is unclear where the horse armor is used or whether it is actually paid out. Like Stan, he seems to be showing his temper once once more.

If you want to see the work that wrote the myth of the point-and-click adventure genre once once more, pay attention to the coming September 19th. If you are a gamer who has been indebted to playing games with an all-in-one CD purchased through mail-order or a diskette copied from a computer store, how regarding taking this opportunity to reclaim the rights that the developers deserve.
