Return of the Wap Hip Hop festival of Antoing with a headliner

After two years of absence, due to the Covid, the Wap Hip Hop festival of Antoing is making a comeback.

For this 11th edition, the organizing teams have decided to offer a mix of local artists on stage accompanied by a more renowned headliner.

This is how the festival will welcome, as headliner, the Lille rapper Ben PLG, whom most were able to discover in the Netflix show “Nouvelle école”. It’s a kind of “The Voice” of rap where Ben PLG was very impressive! This northern rapper is known for his fast flow and distinctive vocals, as well as his introspective and deep lyrics. This rapper will appeal to old and young alike. Note that his concert at “Wap hip hop” will be the only date of his tour in Belgium.

No workshops

Will follow some local artists gathered for a common show namely Skriz, A-Doom and Bart Kobain who will set the mood.

The “La Cimenterie” collective will also be there. For several months, the young people of this collective have recorded a musical project called “Hybride”, a mix between rappers and a live band (live instruments). They will present this project on stage on Saturday, March 11.

Initially planned, hip-hop workshops have been canceled.

The festival will take place on Saturday March 11, from 7.30 p.m., at the Foyer socio-culturel, rue du Burg in Antoing. This event is organized in association with the Foyer socio-culturel d’Antoing, the AMO Graine, the Maison de Jeunes d’Antoing and the ASBL “I Rap Belgium”. Admission to the concert is set at €15.
