the catalog of Apple Arcade just received two new games that appeal to the more nostalgic side of gamers old school: Retro Goal+ e Retro Bowl+both created by the developer New Star Games.
The first, as its name implies, is a football game with a graphic style from the 16-bit console era. The title mixes casual matches with a team management mechanic, allowing you to recruit stars and professionals to your club.
Choose a team from the world’s favorite divisions and recruit stars, pros and celebrities to lead you to victory. Then control everything on the field and make every pass count!
The title has a number of different divisions, different levels of difficulty for artificial intelligence, weather effects and even press conferences. Available for iPhones and iPads equipped with iOS/iPadOS 13 or laterthe game is fully localized in Brazilian Portuguese.
Retro Bowl+, in turn, comes to please fans of another type of football: American football. With a graphic style more drawn to the era of 8-bit games, it also lets you build your own team, participate in championships, press conferences and more.
During the game’s campaign, the player will have to deal with athletes with a fragile ego, manage the team’s budget according to the players’ salaries and even criticize or defend the team according to its results — but be careful, as this can affect your morals.
Just like Retro Goal+, Retro Bowl+ is also available for iPhones and iPads equipped with iOS/iPadOS 13 or later.
Apple Arcade has over 200 titles in the library (free of or in-app purchases), which can be accessed by up to five members of a Family Sharing on iPhones, iPads, Apple TVs and/or Macs. the game service costs BRL 9.90 per month and it’s also part of the company’s Apple One subscription package.
