They claim 315 mobilization points everywhere in France this Monday evening, for a new “casserolade”. The Attac association calls on opponents of the pension reform to gather at 8 p.m. as part of the “general casserole”, a week after a first edition organized on the sidelines of Emmanuel Macron’s speech.
“The more than 420 rallies listed on Monday April 17 show it, as well as the avalanche of messages that have reached us to report these initiatives in small villages as well as large cities: a democratic ferment is expressed everywhere in France, against the coup by force from the government. And the mobilization is growing throughout the territory, ”says the association.
Minister’s trips disrupted
Since the promulgation of the pension reform law, almost all ministerial visits have been disrupted by demonstrators who have come to welcome the ministers to the sound of pots and pans. This was particularly the case of Olivier Klein, Minister of Cities and Housing, who was Monday morning in Massy (Essonne).
The trip to the hospitals of Saint-Maurice (Val-de-Marne) of the Secretary of State in charge of Children, Charlotte Caubel, was canceled this Monday morning, while a “welcome committee” was planned, as LFI MP Mathilde Panot points out on Twitter.
Other government trips are planned for Monday, and must be the subject of militant actions, according to Attac, including that of Emmanuel Macron in Ostend (Belgium). The association has even posted a map of France listing upcoming ministerial visits to allow activists to organize “non-reception committees”.
