“We are scared by everything that happened. They persecute us and now they threaten to exonerate us and take away our salaries,” the retired police officers denounced. that yesterday they were evicted by the Federal Police for the protest with a roadblock in Cervantes for demanding payment from the Austral Zone.
They announced that for now They will not return to the cuts, but will remain in a state of permanent assembly. At the same time they planned to carry out a vigil in Choele Choel, the city to which Rubén Ángel Muñoz was transferred, who was arrested during the eviction proceedings in Cervantes.
“We are in a permanent assembly, what happened left everyone very affected. An operation was mounted with more than 40 police officers equipped with helmets and shields, several mobile phones, to arrest a single person who was Muñoz, the only one who was in Cervantes”, detailed Luis Margagliotti, as spokesman for the ex-policemen of Río Negro.
He added that “we have threats from all sides, even that they are going to do everything very quickly so that Police Headquarters process what is pertinent regarding the exoneration of many of us and consequently take away our salaries”.
The situation of a possible exoneration and deduction of assets emerged from contacts with active troops. “We know reliably that there is a clear predisposition of Police Headquarters for this. They are going to hurt us in everything they can, ”she commented.
On Friday, several of the ex-uniformed men were summoned to give an investigative statement in the Federal Court and were accused of “obstructing traffic” for the cuts in 22. In this sense, there would be 6 ex-police officers who are charged.
“What we made of claim for a benefit, it has angered a lot of people, they don’t want us to reappear; they want to disperse us. Everything will depend on what we do on the routes. We already ran away from the route, but we know they are going to continue with all the actions once morest us,” the spokesperson said.
On the other hand, he indicated that all the participants in the demonstrations “our phones are tapped, the Federal Police are listening to all our communications. That is why we are in a permanent assembly, because as policemen they have scared us, they managed to kick us out and it gives us the feeling that we are in the middle of a dictatorship”.
Finally, they commented that despite the requests until this Saturday followingnoon, Rubén Ángel Muñoz had not been released and the transfer to Choele Choel had been arranged. “They brought together various causes that were invented these days and they are all lies. In principle, a group is going to travel to Choele to hold a vigil in front of the place that is going to be hosted. As for the rest of the measures, we are going to define them in assemblies, today we are shocked”.
