Resurgence of invasive Strep A infections raises concern in Europe

While many European countries, including Switzerland, are facing a strong epidemic of bronchiolitis affecting toddlers, should we also fear a multiplication of invasive streptococcal A infections in pediatrics? France and Great Britain have recently reported a worrying resurgence of this type of rare but serious pathologies. To date, they would have led to the death of about twenty children on the continent.
