Commenting on his performance, he said: ‘I have been the best U-12 and U-16 swimmer and broke three national records in 50m backstroke and 50m breaststroke while breaking one record in 100m backstroke and U-16. He was undefeated in the K category for two years. During this time I won ten gold medals and set eight national records.’
He also represented Pakistan at the World Junior Championships and broke seven national records, while making his senior debut at the Asian Games where Ahmed broke a national record in the men’s 200m individual medley, which had stood for 13 years. remained.
