The Rest of the World team won the Laver Cup tennis tournament in Vancouver on Sunday once morest Europe (13-2), a luxury exhibition tournament, thanks to its doubles pair formed by Ben Shelton and Frances Tiafoe.
The two Americans defeated the Pole Hubert Hurkacz and the Russian Andrey Rublev following two tie-breaks, obtaining the three points synonymous with victory.
The first team to reach 13 points wins the competition, initiated by the Swiss Roger Federer in 2017.
Team Europe, whose highest-ranked player this year was Rublev, had won four of the first five editions.
