Youth with Values: Responsibility implies coherence between what I think, feel and do
Responsibility is the ability we all have to respond, which encompasses what each of us can give and do for others.

Gabriela Carrera, political scientist and director of Public Action at Rafael Landívar University, led a discussion on the value of responsibility with students from Liceo Javier, as part of the Youth with Values project, promoted by Prensa Libre.
Carrera shared what motivated her to become a political scientist and presented some figures on the poverty situation in the country, the conditions of violence faced by women and children, and the environmental crisis.
From this context, his reflection began, seeking to raise awareness of the value of responsibility that we all have, which goes beyond the tasks that are assigned to us and must be completed.
The students did the exercise of sharing where in their body they feel values such as love, service or joy. However, they realized that with responsibility it seems to be more difficult to locate where it is felt.
Responsibility is a skill that involves consistency between what one thinks, feels and does, Carrera explained.
The 5th year high school students of Liceo Javier: Valeria Aldana Melgar, Andres Zambrano Padilla, Martin Taracena Vettorazzi, Valeria Vargas Padilla, Carmen Gómez Chanax, Pablo Melgar Gámez, Fátima Argueta Dubón and Marco Donadio Castellanos reflected on the levels at which the responsibility that Carrera explained is lived, both personally and at a community level.
