JAKARTA, Waspada.co.id – The Labor Party plans to challenge the Job Creation Law as well as a national strike following the Indonesian Parliament passes the Job Creation omnibus law. The Labor Party The Labor Party will submit a judicial review to the Constitutional Court by means of a formal test or a material review of the Job Creation Law in the near future.

“Regarding this ratification, the steps that will be taken by the labor party and trade union organizations, farmers and other working classes are that within the next one week we will conduct a judicial review to the Constitutional Court both for formal and material tests,” said Labor Party President Said. Iqbal, Wednesday (22/3).

In addition, the Labor Party and trade union organizations will carry out a parliamentary review request. The Labor Party believes that revisions to the Job Creation Law can still be carried out by means of continuous action at the DPR RI.

“So the action is no longer going to the palace but to the DPR RI. Because parliament can do a review. The action will start next Tuesday. It will be done every week,” said Iqbal.

Furthermore, the Labor Party is preparing for a national strike. The plan is for the national strike to take place between July and August instead of respecting the months of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.

“While preparing for the national strike, we will submit a lawsuit to the Constitutional Court,” said Iqbal.

The Labor Party will also reject the Job Creation omnibus law by holding a long march on the Bandung – Jakarta walk in mid-April 2023. Along the way, workers will raise a million petitions of support for the omnibus law to be cancelled.

Next, the Labor Party will spread a white cloth 1 kilometer long for the signing of the omnibus law. The unfurling of the white cloth will be carried out in various industrial areas throughout Indonesia.

“Later on white cloths from all provinces that have been signed will be spread around the Palace to show the government that the people want the Omnibus Law on Job Creation to be cancelled,” said Iqbal.

It didn’t stop there, the Labor Party threatened to punish political parties that passed the Job Creation Law. Because according to him the policy is far from the spirit of people’s welfare.

“We will campaign not to vote for political parties that support the omnibus law. Don’t vote for a president who is pro omnibus law,” said Iqbal.

It is known, the DPR has officially approved the draft law (RUU) concerning the Stipulation of Government Regulation in Lieu of Law (Perppu) Number 2 of 2022 concerning Job Creation to become law. The determination was made at the 19th plenary meeting Session Period IV for Session Year 2022-2023.
