‘Respect Pakistan or it will drop atomic bomb, Congress leader Mani Shankar advises India – World

India’s well-known intellectual, analyst and former ruling party Congress central leader Mani Shankar Iyer has said that the Modi government can talk to Pakistan in a tough tone if it wants, but talk must be done. Pakistan cannot be ignored.

In an interview, Mani Shankar Iyer said that there can be a heated discussion on controversial issues and sometimes an unusually inflexible attitude can be adopted, but it cannot be ignored. If Pakistan is continuously ignored and disrespected, it may drop an atomic bomb.

Mani Shankar Iyer said that frequent coldness in India-Pakistan relations is not a good thing. Both the countries should move towards adjustment with each other. It is necessary to continue the dialogue and normalize the relationship.

To a question, Mani Shankar Iyer said that the Modi government is not getting ready to fix things with Pakistan. If India prefers the option of using force, Pakistan may also be forced to use nuclear weapons.

Mani Shankar Iyer is one of the intellectuals of India who have always advocated continuing dialogue with Pakistan and improving relations.

In the 1980s, Mani Shankar Iyer wrote a book titled ‘Pakistan Papers’ regarding the complexities in India-Pakistan relations, which was exceptionally well received in both countries.
