Resources amounting to 11,250,000 euros are available to the Ministry of the Interior for the immediate implementation of actions to deal with the water shortage in Municipalities, Municipal Enterprises and Water Supply and Sewerage Associations (WAS) of the country, within the Sectoral Development Program of the Ministry of the Interior, entitled “Execution of works by the local municipalities of the country to deal with the phenomenon of water scarcity II”
In the Invitation, which was signed by the Minister of the Interior, Thodoris Livanios, the above bodies are invited to submit proposals, in order to be financed for projects aimed at dealing with the phenomenon of water scarcity by improving the level of water management and drinking water supply infrastructures.
In particular, with this call, the following actions are exclusively financed:
– Extraction of new or upgrading of existing water wells.
Each potential beneficiary has the right to submit a single proposal up to the amount of 150,000 euros.
It is clarified that the Municipalities of the Regions of the Ionian Islands, South Aegean and North Aegean, which are excluded from this invitation, will be financed by a corresponding action of the Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy.
