Doha: Qatar says that the complete isolation of the Taliban regime in power in Afghanistan will not help to solve the current crisis. Majeed Al Ansari, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, said that instead, we should try to resolve the issues through negotiations with them. The statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar comes at a time when problems have arisen between the nations of the world and the Taliban regime in Afghanistan due to discriminatory actions once morest women and girls.
“We fully understand that the current international community in Afghanistan is not in a position to engage with the current Taliban government, but complete isolation will not help solve the problem. This policy has not been successful in the past. It is not going to succeed in the future. If we want to change the attitude of the Taliban government, we need to find a way to discuss things with them’- he said.

Qatar is trying to mediate between the Taliban regime in Afghanistan and the international community, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said. He added that Afghanistan is a very important issue for Qatar and Qatar has already completed many activities in this regard.
Earlier, Qatar’s mediation efforts in resolving the crisis between the United States and the Taliban had yielded results. Qatar allowed the Taliban to operate a special office in Doha, paving the way for mediation efforts with the international community. It was Qatar that helped the countries of the world in getting their diplomatic representatives out of Afghanistan safely. Qatar’s efforts in this regard were much appreciated.
