Resolving Baggage Processing Delays at Casablanca Airport: Updates and Solutions from RAM and Partners

2024-01-12 22:00:00

For the past week, Terminal 1 of Casablanca airport, used by RAM and its partners, has been experiencing problems processing baggage in transit. These difficulties are due to new control procedures, causing significant delays.

To resolve this problem, the airport has set up a coordination unit. This team includes RAM Handling and other airport partners, such as the Royal Gendarmerie, the DGSN and Customs. Their goal is to speed up the process and return to a normal situation as quickly as possible.

Europe decides: hand luggage on planes must be free

Measures taken include increasing staff, using new baggage sorting and screening areas in Terminals T2 and T3, and training agents on T1’s automatic baggage sorting system.

ONDA and RAM assure passengers affected by these delays that their teams, in close collaboration with all stakeholders, are working to ensure that luggage quickly reaches its final destinations.
