Resolution to declare and pay pension contributions published in the Official Gazette

The National Integrated Service of Customs and Tax Administration (Seniat), published in the Official Gazette number 42,881, dated May 17, 2024, the resolution with the rules for the declaration and payment of the special contribution for the Protection of Social Security Pensions once morest the Imperialist Blockade.

In resolution 000042, Seniat establishes the payment schedule for the contribution, set at 9% of the total payroll of each contributing company or organization, which is determined by the last number of the Tax Information Registry (RIF).

According to the calendar, these payments must be made during the first 15 days of each month and the technical regulations for managing this contribution are expected to be published soon, since the payment must begin to be made from next June 4.

Article 1 of the resolution states that “the declaration and payment will be made following the formalities and technical specifications established by this National Integrated Service of Customs and Tax Administration in its Tax Portal.”

Regarding salaries and bonuses paid in foreign currency, Article 2 of the law establishes that they must be converted to their equivalent value in bolivars at the official exchange rate in effect “at the time of payment of labor remuneration.”

Article 3 orders taxpayers who pay this contribution to report “quarterly the number of active workers they maintain on their payrolls, according to the technical specifications established in the tax portal.”

The resolution also states in its article 4 that the Seniat reserves the right to “initiate verification and/or inspection procedures and determinations that it considers necessary” in order to guarantee compliance with the Law.
