The Ñuble regional leadership of the Democratic Revolution, territory of Chillan Viejo and territory of Ninhue, reported through a public statement their resignation from the regional table and the party.
“After years of militancy in the Democratic Revolution party and being in the permanent search for a more just, inclusive and representative society, our Regional Directorate of Ñuble has decided to resign from the regional table, and also a group of approximately 30 militants from “The communes of Chillán, Chillán Viejo and Ninhue have decided to resign from the party,” they explained in the statement.
In it, they elaborated on the reasons for the massive resignation of the RD, which point to a disagreement in the way of making decisions within the conglomerate. “We joined at some point looking for a space where the bases would lead the transformation processes and decisions would not be made from the top, as has happened in these almost two years of government.”
They also explained that those same questioned decisions generated problems at the regional level. “Decisions both in the region and in the country are not exempt from entanglements, missteps and controversies. Our best wishes to those who continue that path, may they do well,” they concluded in the statement.
One of those resigned, Rodrigo Polanco, informed the Supreme Court: “I hereby present to you the resignation of the regional board of Ñuble, so that you can accompany the CPR so that they can define in the best way possible substitutions for each of our positions.”
