The clerk, however, has another way out and returns to his initial position: that of “tourism” director at the Province of Walloon Brabant.
According to our information, already revealed last December in La Libre, if the clerk is dismissed from his position, he would automatically return to his previous position. “He can land once more in the administration of the Province in the snap of his fingers,” pointed out a provincial source. Until this date, he had held the position of director of administration of economy and tourism. As a statutory civil servant, he would have every legal right to return if his tenure as registrar was interrupted. He would thus leave a mandate paid at more than 9,000 euros per month to return to a position of director at grade A5, with 25 years of experience, which would entitle him to some 7,000 euros gross per month.
