An atmosphere of panic prevailed in the Palestinian Galilee camp “Wavell” at the southern entrance of Baalbek, the moment the earthquake hit the Bekaa region, measuring 4.2 on the “Richter” scale, at around 20:58 this evening.
Residents of the middle building, which suffers from cracks and cracks, rushed to the outer courtyards, fearing that it might collapse. Although the tremor passed peacefully, many of the building’s residents preferred to sleep with their relatives and acquaintances.
The camp’s residents appealed to UNRWA and the High Relief Commission to “take the initiative to restore the camp’s buildings, in order to spare the lives of the families who live there.”
