Guillaume Vallerand, a resident of Candiac, is literally waiting for his vehicle to be stolen. He was targeted by a network of criminals.

Patrick Lagacé discusses it with him.

On Sunday, he went to eat in Chinatown in Montreal. On leaving, he received an alert on his Iphoneto the effect that a On a tag had been installed on his vehicle.

The latter discovered a geolocation device hidden under his vehicle and declared it to the police on Tuesday.

“I rang it, I heard it outside and I said to myself that it was certain that it was on my vehicle, near the bumper, he explains. The application itself recommends, when this happens, to alert the authorities in case of doubt.

Authorities say the thieves now know where the man lives, his daily route, where he works and are likely waiting for the vehicle to be left unattended to steal it. They would also have a copy of the vehicle keys according to the mode of operation frequent.
