Resident of Brussels, richest Italian in the world: who is Giovanni Ferrero, who pocketed 575 million euros thanks to his chocolate empire?

The billionaire, the richest Italian on earth today, made headlines following presenting his company’s figures for 2021-2022 in the Italian media. And the least we can write is that chocolate is a fruitful field. Indeed, his company pocketed a super-dividend of 765 million euros. Of this amount, 575 goes to his boss, who lives on the outskirts of Brussels with his family.

However, this is less than in 2021 when the company paid 915 million euros in dividends but more than in 2019 when 640 million euros were paid.

And since the death of his brother Pietro in 2015, Giovanni is the sole head of the company. His fortune was estimated by Forbes at 37 billion euros.

But no question for him to throw his money in private jets or other yachts. He prefers to travel and write books.
