Just a couple of months following its first anniversary, the possibility has been leaked that Resident Evil Village can join Xbox Game Pass catalog coming soon. This is the latest installment in the main series of this Capcom saga and one of the most outstanding games of the past year. It was one of the first major franchises to bet on the new generation of consoles, even though it was a cross-generational release.
According to the Polish outlet XGP.pl (via Reddit), Resident Evil Village recently featured the “included in Xbox Game Pass” label in the Microsoft Store for a short time, before being removed. Sufficient time during which a capture might be made to corroborate it. It might be a simple mistake on the part of Microsoft or an indication that Resident Evil Village is coming to the subscription service soon.
It would not be the first time that the arrival of a game on Xbox Game Pass was discovered due to an early leak of the label on its Microsoft Store file, it recently happened with Mass Effect Legendary Edition, for example, and it might be the case with this Resident Evil Village. At the moment there is no official confirmation regarding it, but it is said that Capcom would have a launch agreement with PlayStation by which the game might not be part of a subscription service in its first twelve months on sale. In May it would be that first year since the launch of the game.

In either case, it seems that will have to wait a few weeks to see if this is a bug or indeed Resident Evil Village is coming to Xbox Game Pass soon. For its part, Resident Evil Village has managed to exceed five million games sold.
