Definitely, Resident Evil fans are delighted since the Tokyo Game Show 2022 allowed us to know a little more regarding Capcom’s next plans for the saga: in this case, a new trailer illustrates the new content of the Gold Edition. of Resident Evil Village.
back to the shoulder
It has now been over a year since Resident Evil Village came out: a very good vintage which follows directly on Resident Evil VIIa small revolution in the saga with a return to horror and the famous subjective camera. Ethan Winters’ latest adventure proved to be rich in emotions, the protagonist venturing into the lands of Eastern Europe where vampires and lycans reign. Not a very nice population.
Whatever, there is still extra and it is Capcom who will take care of bringing it through a Gold Edition, Deluxe version of the basic game which will be released on October 28th. Of course, the DLCs can be purchased separately if you already have the game: these will be grouped together in the form of a pack called “Winters Extension”. And the good news, it is that this merry bazaar has just granted itself a brand new trailer from the Tokyo Game Show 2022, to be found above.
The horror is never over
So, what’s new for this Winters Expansion? First of all, the ability to play in third person with a handheld camera, feature highly requested by fans still refractory to the FPS effect. The trailer then gives us a taste of the final render, which is a game-changer for gameplay that gains in height and visibility.
The other big chunk is undoubtedly a solo extension called The Shadows of Rose, where the player will slip into the skin of Ethan Winters’ daughter, Rose. For once, this new adventure where our heroine wants to get rid of her powers, 16 years following the events of Villagemust be played in the third person only.
Finally, we can also point out new content for Mercenary mode, a part of the game focused on combat and scoring where the player faces waves of enemies: there will be three new characters, each with different gameplay and specificities, namely Chris Redfield, Karl Heisenberg and Alcina Dimitrescu.
See you on October 28 to discover all this as it should be (at the price of 19.99€, by the way).
