Game news Resident Evil: discover the cult Spencer mansion more beautiful than ever!

The first Resident Evil is a real emblem and one might almost consider the Spencer Manor as a character in its own right: so the fans rejoice since a fan has completely recreated it under Unreal Engine 5. And the result is more than appreciable.
A mortal abode
In 1996, Capcom redefined the codes of horror (and some of those of video games as such) with Resident Evil first of the name, a cult survival-horror for many reasons. We might spend hours talking regarding his status, how he influenced the industry and the aura of a franchise that we all know: among others, we can happily say that the Spencer Manor has played an important role in the fame of the game.
The main scene of events in RE1, Spencer Manor (or Arklay Manor) was owned by Oswell E. Spencer, head of the pharmaceutical company Umbrella. It is within it that the STARS will go to discover the sinister plans of the multinational, trapped by its many corridors and rooms devoured by darkness and hemoglobin. Even if it almost made us incontinent, the Spencer Manor, we love it a lot in spite of ourselves.
back to hell
In 2002, Capcom already offered a magnificent remake of the first Resident Evil on GameCube, where we might then rediscover the Spencer Manor under brand new graphics (the port of the title is still available in HD, by the way). Today, we can finally see what it might look like under Unreal Engine 5.
This unofficial work is brought to us by Team Arklay, a team of passionate developers and Resident Evil aficionados. A long video then lingers, room by room, corridor by corridor, to mount the iconic residence under the super-powerful engine of Epic Games. There are therefore emblematic environments, sublimated for the occasion.
Currently and for years, Capcom is not really accustomed to the Unreal Engine since it uses the RE Engine, its own engine which works wonders (see the video just above). It was he who was used for many of the last episodes with a breathtaking rendering, especially indoors. The magnificent Devil May Cry 5 also used it to tell the adventures of Dante and Nero.
So, rather Unreal Engine 5 or RE Engine?
