During the last State of Play, Capcom opened the ball with a title that many fans had been hoping to see pointing the tip of its nose for many months now: Resident Evil 4 Remake. Today, the title is making a comeback to reveal some new images and, above all, to invite us to a new meeting.
Unpublished images and a new appointment?
It was during the last State of Play that Resident Evil 4 Remake came to light, which allowed us to find our dear Léon who, as you can imagine, will unfortunately have to face once once more the nightmare he experienced for the first time in 2005. However, Unlike the original released for PlayStation 2 and Nintendo GameCube, this new version of Resident Evil 4 will feature a rewritten story, “striking visual rendering of detail” and revamped game mechanics… This is also why players are on the lookout for the slightest new image. This is good since Capcom has just unveiled some additional visuals on its Twitter account.
That’s not all, as you can see by watching the tweet available below, Resident Evil 4 Remake also gives us a new appointment. Without surprise, the horror game will indeed be present at the Capcom conference to be held on Monday evening, June 13, from 11:59 p.m. The event will obviously continue for a few tens of minutes on the night of June 13 to 14. Without going too far, we also imagine that we will have the right to new information on Street Fighter 6 on the same date, since the fighting game is also a Capcom production.
Already a release date for Resident Evil 4 Remake!
You read correctly, barely announced during the State of Play, the title has already had the right to a release date. And good news, the latter is already very precise since it gives us an appointment at March 24 next. However, players who have done the previous two remakes, namely Resident Evil 2 Remake et Resident Evil 3 Remakeon PlayStation 4 or Xbox One will be disappointed since Capcom has announced that this new version of Resident Evil 4 will be exclusive to PC and new gaming platforms (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S) in order to best exploit the power of these machines.
This time, we are developing the game with the aim of offering an exceptional level of quality up to what we can expect from a survival horror in 2023, while preserving the essence of the original game. We want fans of the series to rediscover what made the game so successful, while infusing it with new and refreshing elements. A desire that involves rewriting the story while retaining its main plot, modernizing the graphics and updating the controls to adapt to current standards.
