A survey carried out by the platform CupomValido.com.br found that the Brazil it’s in 8th position among the countries with the most billionaires in the world. Altogether, they are 62 people with finances surpassing the billion mark, which probably include the young Pedro Franceschi and Henrique Dubugras, who reached this level in 2022.
Worldwide, the total number of personalities with these finances is 2.668 and the ranking generated by the survey has the United States at the top, with 735 billionaires. The second position went to the China (539), followed by India (166), Germany (134) e Russia (83) rounding out the top five.
Back in Brazil, the top 10 among the richest have Jorge Paulo Lehmann as their leader, who has Ambev as the main source of his fortune of 15.4 billion dollars. In second place, we have the co-founder of Facebook, Eduardo Saverin and below him are the other two partners of Ambev, Marcel Herrman Telles (3rd) and Carlos Alberto Sicupira (5th).
The fourth position went to Jorge Moll Filho and the only woman in this group of billionaires is Lucia Maggi, co-founder of the André Maggi group, or Amaggi. Compared to the previous year, Brazil ended up losing 3 billionaires, but the champion in this regard was China, which lost regarding 87 billionaires.
