Research and development: Casanearshore Park has an “Oracle Lab”

Casanearshore Park will house a new unit of “Oracle Lab”. This was announced on the sidelines of the visit to Morocco by Safra Catz, CEO of Oracle Corporation.

The new structure will thus be part of a large network developed by the Group, made up of 11 sites entirely dedicated to research. It will host no less than 100 researchers who will use Oracle’s cloud and its latest artificial intelligence or machine learning technologies. The goal is to provide solutions enabling companies, scientific organizations and the public sector to address their challenges. “Oracle’s investment in Morocco reflects more than ever the dynamism and constant development of the economic environment that can be seen in all the countries that have signed the Abraham Accords, this historic convention which aims to to forge peace and prosperity in the region”, emphasizes Safra Catz in this regard.

The CEO indicates in this sense that the establishment of this new Oracle R&D center in Casablanca will allow the Group to access an exceptional pool of talent from all over the region. “It will also give us the opportunity to benefit directly from the new economic ties forged with Israel and to provide our customers around the world with new cutting-edge technologies,” she said. For his part, Mohcine Jazouli expressed Morocco’s satisfaction with this cooperation. “We are delighted that Oracle has chosen Morocco to further establish its international research and development program.

This provides an opportunity for talented people in Morocco to be able to contribute to the creation of cutting-edge technological solutions. Note that the launch ceremony of the Oracle Lab took place within the UM6P of Benguerir in the presence also of Ghita Mezzour. On this occasion, the Minister for the Digital Transition and Administrative Reform attended a series of presentations prepared by the innovators, creators and entrepreneurs who make up this community, and discussed with them regarding their projects, their objectives of development and points for improvement that will enable the ministry to support the development and attractiveness of these digital companies.
