Eight minor children from one to fifteen years old were taken out by rescuers together with the police from a cold house in the village of Ust-Pit, Yenisei district, Krasnoyarsk Territory. The place is considered difficult to reach.
As the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs wrote on the Telegram channel on November 15, the police department was informed that the children were in danger. Arriving officers found the brothers and sisters in the company of adults who were drinking alcohol. The 32-year-old mother was not among them. At the same time, the house was cold and dirty, there was no food.
The regional rescue service clarified that there is currently no air service to the village, so the evacuation was carried out by airboat.
The head of a large family had previously been brought to administrative responsibility for failure to fulfill parenting duties and was registered with the PDN. The children were not taken away as the woman tried to rectify the situation.
The police, together with the guardianship authorities of the Yenisei region, placed the children in specialized institutions. The issue of re-bringing the mother to administrative responsibility is being resolved.
The village of Ust-Pit is located on the right bank of the Yenisei River and has less than 600 residents.
