Zurich (awp) – The Swiss Association of Bank Employees (Aseb) is calling on Sunday for the establishment of a commission dedicated to threatened jobs at Credit Suisse, regardless of the final form that the rescue of the number two Swiss bank will take.
Even if the scenario of a takeover is emerging, the organization is demanding in a position statement that all social partners be involved before any decision is stopped.
The social plan already established by Credit Suisse in 2016 is still considered good, but its application must be guaranteed whatever the final scenario. The exceptional situation, with the future of the bank at stake, however, requires the development of additional measures.
Confederation, Swiss National Bank (SNB) and other banking institutions are thus invited to participate in the reflection once morest the threat of drastic cuts in employment in the banking sector.
