A walker fell over an embankment into the water in Laxenburg Castle Park. Firefighters had to save her.
A walker took an unwanted swim in cool temperatures on Thursday Laxenburg Castle Park (Mödling district). The lady had been walking with her dog when it pulled violently on the leash. The woman lost her balance and fell over an embankment into the Triestig Canal. She was no longer able to free herself from the water because she… stuck in the muddy ground – while her dog remained safely on the bank.
The park supervisor alerted the fire department and calmed the walker until the emergency services arrived.
She was finally freed from her predicament by a total of 28 members of the Laxenburg and Biedermannsdorf volunteer fire departments. The completely drenched and hypothermic The woman was handed over to the emergency services who were also alerted for further care.
