Requests for stay of trial and expulsion case against Imran Khan combined

The Islamabad High Court has consolidated both the impeachment case and stay of trial in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman’s cipher case, and has remarked that orders will be issued in this regard.

A hearing was held in the Islamabad High Court on Chairman PTI’s request to stop the trial of the cipher case, Chief Justice Amir Farooq heard the case.

Chairman PTI’s lawyer Latif Khosa submitted to the court that there is an application against the decision to stop the proceedings and charge, the matter is going on in the High Court and the decision is reserved. Lahore High Court has also issued an injunction in one case. what happened

Latif Khosa said that we repeatedly said that the matter should not be rushed, the matter is going on in the High Court, we have a lot of concerns regarding the Official Secrets Act, what is the security risk? Or the secrecy is leaking, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto also told the same in his speech in Raja Bazaar, so what happened?

Lawyer Latif Khosa said that my client is a national hero and the world knows and believes that now he is innocent in jail.

Justice Amir Farooq inquired that only a miscellaneous application has been filed today, if you say, I should attach it to the main case.

Lawyer Latif Khosa said that of course you should attach it with the request for dismissal of the cipher case, but before the 17th.

The court asked the lawyer what to do on that day i.e. October 17. On which lawyer Latif Khosa said that there is going to be a big scandal on 17th, Imran Khan‘s trial is going on, he has to be indicted.

Chief Justice Amir Farooq said that I will see and order, I will file the case before October 17.

The court merged the plea with the plea in the Cipher case exclusion case, and the Chief Justice remarked that he would issue orders to join the pleas.

It should be noted that on October 9, Special Court Judge Abul Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain had fixed October 17 as the date for indicting Chairman PTI and Shah Mahmood Qureshi in the cipher case, which Chairman PTI had already accepted Islam the previous day. What was the challenge in Abad High Court?

Chairman PTI, through lawyer Sher Afzal Marwat, filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court, challenging the charge-sheet order in the cipher case, seeking to quash the October 9 trial court order.

Imran Khan has taken a position in the petition that the trial court should receive the copies of the written case, although they did not receive the copies, while the trial court did not even wait for the High Court’s decision against the jail hearing.

Chairman PTI has requested in the petition that the decision of the Special Court on Official Secrets Act of October 9 should be annulled.
