The Mayor’s Office of Medellín confirmed this Friday, July 8, that Mayor Daniel Quintero requested “a license for a personal matter”, but did not give more details or if the diligence involved traveling abroad. Nevertheless, This same day, photographs of the local president began to circulate at an airport in Europe, apparently in Paris.

This license was requested by Quintero 18 days following returning to his position, following completing the provisional suspension of the Attorney General’s Office for alleged improper participation in politics. Mayor Daniel Quintero was absent from his role and left the Secretary of Government in charge once more, Maria Camila Villamizar.

Criticism has rained down because coincidentally, also in Europe, but in Italy, It is expected that there will be a meeting this Saturday at noon in Florence between the elected president Gustavo Petro, and former president César Gaviria, of the Liberal Party, in the former’s rest house.
