Pachuca, Hgo.-In the jurisdiction of the High Office of the government of Hidalgo was the building called “Monument to the Victims of Covid-19”, which is dedicated to medical personnel and those who died due to the pandemic.

By instruction of the Comptroller’s Secretariat, headed by Álvaro Bardales, this memorial, located on the Bicentenario Esplanade, south of Pachuca, will be used for social welfare, and will no longer be a “white elephant.”

The current administration led by Julio Menchaca has the purpose of giving appropriate use to said property, so it will comply with local regulations, to guarantee that the facilities are accessible, reported personnel from the state Comptroller’s Office.

It should be remembered that said building, carried out between January and March 2022, recorded an investment of more than 16 million pesos, which might not be used due to technical deficiencies.

The expensive complex has solid oak wood benches of various models, a cut glass pendant light, as well as a tempered glass façade and a lattice.

In addition, ceramic tile was used on the floors, both inside and outside the work, with a spherical roof that covers the chapel, the cost of which was greater than one million 700 thousand pesos. It is until this date that said construction was completed in its entirety.

During the assignment ceremony, the staff of the Secretariats of Public Infrastructure and Sustainable Urban Development, the Comptroller’s Office, and the Chief Official’s Office, as well as the construction company Grupo GOLER SA de CV, were present.
