Republican Politician’s Nephew Becomes Trump Shooting Victim (Account X)

Republican House member Ronny Jackson said his nephew was among those killed in the shooting of former U.S. President Donald Trump, and the Secret Service said the shooter also fired shots that killed one person and seriously wounded two others.

“His neck was grazed. The bullet went through his neck, cut his neck and he was bleeding,” Jackson said, as quoted by Aljazeera, Sunday (14/7).

The U.S. Secret Service said its personnel killed the suspect in the shooting, which also killed one person and wounded two others.

FBI official Kevin Rojek said the incident appeared to be an assassination attempt on Trump, but authorities declined to identify the shooter, the dead crowd or the two people who were injured.

A state police official said all the victims were adult males. He said the scene was still being cleaned up, and suspicious objects around the shooter’s body were being examined.

Sources have told CNN reporters that the FBI has identified the shooter as a 20-year-old man from Pennsylvania.

While Trump said he was doing well following receiving treatment, he said the bullet went through the top of his right ear.

“I knew right away something was wrong because I heard a whoosh, a gunshot, and I felt the bullet go through my skin. There was a lot of bleeding,” the former president wrote on his Truth Social account.

“Most importantly, I would like to express my condolences to the families of those who died in the demonstrations, as well as to the families of those who were seriously injured,” he said in the post. (P-5)
