With the presence of the national campaign manager, Martín Arrau, and the former Constitutional Councilor, Cecilia Medina, the Republican Party presented its candidate for regional governor of Ñuble, Jorge Luis Sánchez, current regional president of the community. He also announced his three names for the region’s mayoral seats: the agricultural businessman Diego Fernández, in San Carlos; the dentist Felipe Fuentealba in Quillón, and the current councilor, Jairo del Pino, in Pinto.

“Republicanos is focused on redirecting Chile along the path of order and progress, seeking to ensure that the country’s 346 communes work for the best use of public resources, for growth, security and the fight once morest corruption. Ñuble is no exception and these candidates will work with the strength of Chile for that purpose. They will join a complete team of candidates for regional councilors and communal councilors, which is where everyone knows, the focus of the party is on,” explained the national vice president, Martín Arrau.

During the next few days, the Republican Party will also be presenting its candidates to the Regional Council and the various municipal councils of the Ñuble region.

“They are positions of special importance for us, because they allow us to supervise, but mainly to sow in a long-term project, in a mission of cultural reconstruction in our country,” Arrau concluded.

The voice of the candidates

The candidate for governor, Jorge Luis Sánchez, expressed his “concern with the direction that a region as new as Ñuble is taking. That under this administration fell to the first place of poverty in the country, to the podium of unemployment always hovering around double digits, a region that begins to see criminal acts that it did not know regarding, that does not attract new investment projects and that very quickly found itself involved in acts of corruption such as the Agreements case. We see that the priorities are not placed on these problems. Ñuble deserves more, he deserves that we react with conviction to his urgencies,” he said.

Meanwhile, Diego Fernández, candidate for mayor in San Carlos, explained that “we have been working as a team for a long time, and also personally, in the only way we know how, on the ground, with our boots on and together with the neighbors, who They have had a very good reception towards our candidacy. We are committed to recovering and refreshing our commune, to promoting its development, its commerce, its agriculture and its security, to bring it to the status of provincial capital that is often not noticed and that we know we can achieve.”

Felipe Fuentealba, candidate for mayor of Quillón, reinforced that “it is necessary to renew and recover the commune with new qualified faces, who push Quillón to get out of the stagnation. As a Cesfam dentist I hear daily from patients the need for better service, and this is replicated in many other issues, such as the lack of opportunities, the fear of walking on the streets, the need to revitalize agriculture, commerce , entrepreneurship. That motivated me to get out of the second row, put together a tremendous team and work as main actors so that Quillón smiles once more.”

Finally, Jairo del Pino, candidate for the municipal seat of Pinto, stressed that “I have been serving public services in my commune for years and everyone knows that I want to see it better.
