Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The house of Thomas Muller, player of Bayern Munich, was robbed during the match “Bavaria” and his Spanish counterpart Barcelona, on Tuesday, in the Champions League 2023/2022, according to German press reports.
The German newspaper “Bild” said that thieves broke into Muller’s house, in the town of Utterving, south of Munich, 40 kilometers from the “Allianz Arena”, the stronghold of Bayern Munich.
The newspaper added that the thieves stole jewelry and valuables, valued at 500,000 euros, and managed to escape, before the police arrived at the house.
This incident is not the first of its kind, as football players have previously been subjected to similar robberies, such as the Polish Robert Lewandowski and the Gabonese Pierre Aubameyang, who were robbed in the Spanish city of Barcelona.
Thomas Muller participated mainly in the Bayern Munich and Barcelona match, which ended with the Bavarian victory with two clean goals, in the second round of the Champions League.
