The film is regarding a young girl with whom the youth welfare system is overwhelmed. Director Nora Fingscheidt is also said to be involved in the new edition entitled “System Crasher”.

The German, award-winning film “Systemsprenger” (2019) by director Nora Fingscheidt is to be rebooted in Hollywood.

The MGM studio has secured the rights for the English-language remake, the cinema portals “Deadline.com” and “TheWrap” reported. “System Crasher” is therefore co-produced by the company Free Association of actor Channing Tatum (41, “Magic Mike”). Tatum is also set to star as a lead actor.

“System Crasher” tells the story of a nine-year-old girl who is prone to violent outbursts and repeatedly falls through the youth welfare system. The only chance seems to be some time out in nature with an anti-violence trainer that the girl is beginning to trust. The main roles were played by Helena Zengel and Albrecht Schuch.

Fingscheidt, who most recently shot the Netflix thriller “The Unforgivable” with Sandra Bullock, is an executive producer on the project, according to “Deadline.com”. Nothing was initially known regarding the cast of the roles and the director’s post.
