Report: Elon Musk is entering the line of artificial intelligence

Elon Musk is making plans to establish an artificial intelligence startup to compete with OpenAI, according to the Financial Times, which said the billionaire is assembling a team of researchers and engineers to work on the project.

Elon Musk is also in discussions with investors from “Tesla” and “SpaceX” regarding helping to finance the project, according to what the newspaper quoted people familiar with the matter, whose identities were not disclosed.

The newspaper said that the billionaire acquired thousands of processors from Nvidia Corp. for the new project. This news helped the chip maker’s shares rise today, Friday, and the stock gave up its previous losses.
