Report.. Egypt’s beach team enters history through Morocco

The Egyptian beach soccer team continued to sign off on the Moroccan national team, following the Pharaohs qualified, at the expense of the Atlas Lions, to the 2023 World Cup for the first time in its history, as well as the 2022 African Nations Cup final in Mozambique.

Egypt will face Senegal in the final of the African Nations Beach Soccer Cup, which is currently being held in Mozambique.

After its victory over the Moroccan team today, the Egyptian team continues its superiority over the Atlas Lions during the two teams’ confrontations in the African Beach Soccer Championship.

The Egyptian team met with its Moroccan counterpart in 7 matches, the Egyptian team won 5 matches, while Morocco won only two matches.

Egypt met for the first time with Morocco in the group stage of the African Beach Soccer Championship in 2011, and the Pharaohs won 3-0.

The second confrontation was between Morocco and Egypt in 2015, during the competitions to determine the fifth place in the African Championship, and the Atlas Lions won 3-1 in their favour.

The third confrontation between the two teams was in 2016, and the Egyptian team won it 4-1, to win the bronze medal and third place in the African Beach Soccer Cup.

Egypt and Morocco met twice in the 2018 edition, which was held in Sharm El-Sheikh at the time, and the Pharaohs settled the fourth confrontation in the history of the confrontations between them, with a score of 6-1 in the group stage.

Then it was the fifth confrontation in the history of the confrontations between the two teams, and the Egyptian team also won it 3-2, to achieve third place and the bronze medal in 2018 as well.

It was the sixth confrontation between the two teams, and the Moroccan team won it 4-3 in the group competitions of the 2021 African Beach Soccer Championship.

Today’s confrontation between Morocco and Egypt came to be the seventh confrontation between the two teams, and the Egyptian team won it 5-4 in the semi-finals of the African Beach Soccer Cup, to qualify for the African Beach Soccer Cup final.
