Informed sources said that the American media and entertainment company, Walt Disney, intends to announce thousands of new job cuts during the next week, including regarding 15% of the entertainment sector’s work force.
And Bloomberg News Agency indicated that the company intends to write off jobs in the television and film production sectors, entertainment cities and administrative positions, and will include all regions in which Disney operates, adding that some employees who have been decided to lay off will be notified as of April 24.
In February, Disney said it planned to cut 7,000 jobs around the world as part of restructuring efforts to save billions of dollars in expenses.
This figure represents regarding 3.6% of the company’s total workforce worldwide.
