Counselor Yasser Kantoush submitted a complaint to the Public Prosecutor once morest Raymond Ramses, producer of Haifa Wehbe’s new movie “Ramses Paris”, which she returned to filming a few days ago.
In his statement, Yasser Kantoush said: “The complainant is French and has a company in France working in the field of film production. The defendants identified the complainant because they are working in the production of the movie “From Ramses to Paris,” an Egyptian-French production, and parts of the film are being filmed in The Arab Republic of Egypt, and when the defendant knew the second defendant, they asked him to participate in filming the external scenes in France by his company, and that he would receive the costs in addition to the expected profits from the film.
And he continued: “Indeed, the complainant agreed to prepare and secure the filming locations for the required scenes and provide them with the secondary roles for acting and the necessary labor for decoration, lighting and photography, as well as obtaining the necessary technical and security licenses to enable them to finish all external scenes in France.”
He continued: “It was agreed between the two parties that the complainant would issue all visas for the Egyptian crew, and upon their arrival in Paris, the company represented by the complainant would take over all production expenses, wages for French actors, car rental and all the services required to complete filming in France.”
In turn, the film’s producer, Raymond Ramses, responded to the communication in a statement to “An-Nahar”, saying that he “has no comment on that, as he will assign his own lawyer to respond to it legally, and he will continue shooting the movie, without any crises or delays.” He added that any agreements in production are documented by contracts before the start of implementation, and that producer Ahmed Fouad Naseem does not have any contracts proving that he did not receive his financial dues, as documents will be submitted, proving the opposite of what was stated in the communication.
